Unanswered Prayers

       Unanswered Prayers

“Of all the mysteries, of a mystery why does it seem Prayers

  go unanswered”

Why does it seem as though heaven has no replies?

To the sighs and tears, we cry: prayers unheard of

the righteous? It can cause a weary heart to go astray

          cold and motionlessness at bay.

          Meanwhile evil continues to prevail.

No reply, no reply. Though life may appear as a costly

          Hell, that one goes through.

          Hell to get to heaven.

Life has bestowed a costly gift, whose foundation is

built on pure hell, something you must go through.

Where the warfare rages in your dreams while you

are awake. This battle is on every side:

Hope deferred makes one question God!

Though it looks like the results of one action,

          Or karma factual.

But in times of testing, it's just the results of existing.

Once the healing began to cover those scars.

Those expectations readily ring true; now emptiness

and forsaken has crept into full view filling all

          spaces with the color blue.

Hostile, defenseless, bitter cold mechanism point

of view. What you refuse to believe because the

pain has become so relenting from what was once

a vibrant relationship, has fallen desperately, into

abandonment, and isolation, with only harassing demons for

consolation: their point of view. Who knew?

That those prayers would become no more than

monologue, for a fresh response to a daily confession,

request. To a sworn covenant at best.

Divine blinding promises, that only you can dispense.

So you take a quote from the world.

Hope has died many times, more than all the wars

combined, and still to this very moment continues.

So far relief hope in you has retreated.

Now we're crouched at the idols of a genie ATM

          granting our every whim.

But a loving father, who cares enough when

He hears the cries of His children,

They say there's a forever thing.

          Trying to hold on:

When the heart is breaking into a million pieces.

And then your prayers are answered.
